As soon as I connect the HVR and the camera to each other, I have an abnormal video signal or I cannot see it at all, but power supply of both devices is correct; what do I need to check?

Check that the network cable on HVR side is firmly connected, is not worn or does not need to be replaced; check that the NTSC or PAL parameter is selected consistently depending on the geographical location of the installation (e.g. PAL for EUROPE).
